Kunene Transboundary Water Supply Project (KTWSP)

The Kunene Transboundary Water Supply Project (KTWSP) is a Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) Pilot Project under the Regional Strategic Water Infrastructure Development Programme (RSWIDP).

The purpose of the Project is to improve access of the target group to a reliable, affordable and sustainable water supply to meet the basic need for water and to put into practise the bi-national planning and implementation of transboundary water infrastructure development in the SADC region.

Services rendered

  • Assistance in the establishment and capacity building of the Kunene Water Utility Company in Angola
  • Coordination & liaison between project stakeholders including SADC, Task Force Calueqe, GTZ, Angolan & Namibian Government Departments, other Consultants & their activities as they affect the Project, etc.
  • Development of experienced procedures regarding operation & maintenance as well as a philosophy of accountability to customers; sensitization of operators & user groups.
